1st June: Talk – From Wildlife to Sport – A Photographic Journey by Conor Molloy ARPS DPAGB

Last night we were treated to a talk by Conor Molloy whose  easy, understated style,  stunning wildlife and sports images captivated us all.   Delving into the complexity of the sports photography market, so different from the challenges of wildlife photography, opened our eyes to this difficult field in which he excels.  Many thanks to Conor for a fascinating, informative and enjoyable evening.

18th May: Interactive Workshop led by Julia Wainwright FRPS MPAGB BPE2*

Many thanks to Julia for another great workshop, concentrating on print making, from choosing the image in the first place through the sometimes tortuous steps to achieve a satisfying print.  Print makers have suffered since lockdown but we are optimistic that we will be back ‘in print’ in the near future.  Last night’s completely interactive session will certainly help.

We were also treated to a ‘guess the medal winners’ break-out session.  It is a great way to learn how to assess our own competition images through critical eyes rather than emotional response.   Who would be a judge?!

Thanks again to Julia for an informative and enjoyable evening.
