28th February: Members Evening

Many thanks to Mark for last night’s review of 2022 CACC Chilterns Hundred and PAGB events to contextualise how club images compete against regional and national entries.  It certainly focuses minds on strengths and weaknesses of subject matter, technical excellence, creative and imaginative photography.

And talking of excellence we are delighted to present our Spring Virtual Exhibition on Facebook with grateful thanks to Alan Colegrave for producing this video for us.

Next week we are back on Zoom for our Open and Projected Image of the Year competitions which will be judged by Terry Hewitt, Stockport PS.

In the meantime do take a look at our Exhibition either on YouTube or just click on F logo at the top of the home page.

21st February: Japanese Winter Wonderland by Robert Snary

Many thanks to Robert for his comprehensive, incredibly detailed and informative talk about his trip to Japan in 2020.

We journeyed with him to Kyoto, Nagano, Yudanaka, Tokyo, Hokkaido Islands, Hakodata and Sapporo, learning about transport systems, culture, cuisine, architecture,  religious harmonies, hot springs, snow monkeys, Mount Fuji and more!

Thanks to everyone who came along on Zoom and once again thanks to Robert;  we really appreciated the talk.

Getting our breath back from all that travelling we look forward to next week’s meeting back in Hatch End for a Members Evening led by Mark Buckley-Sharp.

In the meantime, enjoy the week ahead and hope to see you next Tuesday.
