Open: Congratulations to Dave Martin for his winning image ‘Hoar Frost on Mycena Fungi’ beautifully taken and presented; Judith Gimber’s ‘Iridescent Hummingbird’ and ‘Banded Damoiselle’ were second and third respectively. Highly commended were John Draper’s ‘The Shepherd’ and Dave Martin’s ‘Corgette Flower’ and ‘Snowdrop’. Commended were John’s ‘St. Ives’, Peter Polkinhorne’s ‘House Tree’ and Avril Candler’s ‘Patterns of Neglect’. Thanks to everyone who entered the Open competition.
Set Subject – Sacred Places: Another trophy triumph for Judith Gimber whose ‘Call to Prayer’ was the winning image and her ‘Awestruck’ claimed second place. In third place was Mark Buckley-Sharp’s ‘Sancaklar Recitation’; highly commended were Peter Keeble’s ‘Harrow Central Mosque Interior’, Peter Polkinghorne’s ‘St. Albans, North Harrow’ and ‘Whitby Abbey’ by Dave Martin. Five images were commended – Peter Keeble’s Harrow Central Mosque Exterior’, Peter Polkinghorne’s ‘St. Sava Belgrade’, Mark Buckley-Sharp’s ‘Mihrimar Sultan Mosque Mihrab’ and ‘The Artemesium’ and ‘Salisbury Cathedral Cloister by Judy Buckley-Sharp. Congratulations to all.
