14th October: People/Portraits Trophy and Open Print Competitions, judged by Amanda Wright
Very many thanks to Amanda Wright, Ealing and Hampshire House, for judging both competitions with informative and helpful critiques.
The Open section congratulations go to Peter Polkinghorne for his winning ‘Pool Triangles’; Judith Gimber came second with ‘Rosy Pelican’ and Avril Candler third with ‘Mother and Son’. Judy Buckley-Sharp’s ‘Rye Doors’ was highly commended.
The People/Portrait trophy goes to Judith Gimber for ‘Lone Skateboarder’; Judith’s ‘Mother’s Reprimand’ was second and her ‘The Detectorist’ was highly commended; Judy Buckley-Sharp’s ‘The Chimney Sweep’ was third and her ‘The Joys of Summer’ was also highly commended. Commended were Mark Buckley-Sharp’s ‘ Carnival Companions’ and Avril Candler’s ‘Catching a Break’.
