22nd January: Landscape and Open Print competitions, judged by Chris Drury

Grateful thanks to Chris for stepping into the breach and coming along to judge our print competitions.

In the Open section, Judith Gimber’s ‘Camel Herder’ won first place; YC Wei’s ‘Weaver Bird’ and ‘Top Shine’ were second and third.  Highly commended were Mark Buckley-Sharp’s ‘Parade Commander’ and ‘Throne Hall Topkapi Harem’ ;  Judy Buckley-Sharp’s ‘Halic Metro Bridge’ and Avril Candler’s ‘The Fly’ were commended.  Well done all and thanks to everyone who participated.

 

Open Print Winner by Judith Gimber

The Landscape trophy went to Judith Gimber for her ‘Six Windmills’, Avril’s ‘Silver Fields’ was second and Peter Polkinghorne’s ‘Cloud Dance’ third.  Judith’s ‘Wild Flower Meadow and YC’s ‘Jasper Mountain  View’ were highly commended.  Godfrey Dee, in his first competition was commended for his photograph of ‘Fawsley’.  Congratulations to everyone and especially to Judith whose night it was and to our new member Godfrey.
