6th December: NWLondon Federation Match 3, judged by Steven Galvin LRPS

Last night we hosted the third match in the preliminary round of the NWLondon Federation interclub competition which comprises projected images and prints;  our judge was Steven Galvin, Marlow Camera Club.

We were pleased to welcome members of Amersham and Pinner against whom we were competing.  There are strict guidelines when judging the NWFed competitions which Steven explained and adhered to!  The range of marks is 15 – 20;  in addition two prints and two projected are awarded stars each match;  these will be judged at the Final for the individual best print and best projected regardless of whether or not the club does.  Sadly we won’t be progressing any further this time. Warm congratulations to Amersham who will go through to the semi-final in January and commiserations to Pinner whose journey also stops here.   Congratulations to our starred Harrow members and good luck to all for the Final.

Many thanks to Steven for his positive feedback during the judging process and to everyone who came along to support the event.

On a happier note, we did win our Rosebowl round against Princess Risborough, Hemel Hempstead and St. Albans on Monday evening.  Stars are also awarded in this competition and recipients will go through to the Best Projected Image competition and Harrow members will be there!  Congratulations to them.

Next week we are back on Zoom for a workshop which will be run by Alan Colegrave.

In the meantime, have a good week.
