8th March: Members’ Evening – High Street Photography

We love to talk about the weather……whether it will rain, whether it will be cold…….so planning a ‘shoot’ in Hatch End High Street was always going to be a gamble, especially with the challenge of taking ‘reflections’………We hoped there would be drizzle before the witching hour of 8.00pm but contrary weather decided to stay dry.  It didn’t daunt anyone though!  The challenge was to take three JPEG images with at least one element of ‘reflection’ in them along/around the High Street.  Returning to the hall the images were uploaded and in the comfort and warm  each person’s ‘set of three’ were reviewed.

It was a good exercise and a thoroughly enjoyable evening.  Everyone had the opportunity of nominating one image for display on Facebook.  These will be available in due course.

Thanks to Mark Buckley-Sharp for the technical stuff and to everyone who came along to the evening and especially those who braved the High Street!

Next week we have two projected Annual competitions:  Nature and Sets of up to Seven which will be judged by Jonathan Vaines LRPS CPAGB AFIAP from Cambridge Camera Club.

Have a good week and stay safe
